Monday's always seem to drag...especially stormy Mondays! We haven't been up to a whole lot lately. Things are kind of boring around here. I'm still trying to get all of my old blog transferred over to this one and it's taking me quiet a while!

Home Work
Today I began a new journey: working from home! I've been very excited about it, but a little nervous too. I'm keeping the job that I've had- but we're trying it a different way. I'm very glad for the opportunity, but trying not to get ahead of myself.
Well, today didn't go exactly as planned. I walked across the hallway to my new "office" at about 7:15 this morning. I fired up the ole laptop and logged in. Actually, I tried to log in. After one attempt, it locked. I called our IT lady at work and told her I was locked out. She said I'd have to bring the computer in. Lovely. So I tried get myself looking presentable and drove to the office. (Looking like a HOT MESS) She got it unlocked and sent me on my merry way.
I get home and try to log in again, and succeed. Then I realize that my internet is not connecting for some reason. I try everything I know how to do and nothing works. After four hours on the phone with my internet provider, it is determined that my router "has died" and for $89.99 they can update it over the phone. I think not. I leave the house again to go buy a new router and within an hour have it purchased and all computers connected to the internet.
I log in to work finally, start going thru some emails, and wouldn't you know it? The POWER WENT OUT! Tornado warnings everywhere. I get a phone call to take cover. So, I spent about 30 minutes this afternoon, in a tiny closet with my dog, waiting it out.
Phew! I'm tired just thinking about it. I'm sure hoping tomorrow goes a lot better.

It's been a while...
I haven't blogged in over a year. Wow. I have plenty of things to blog about, I just haven't ever stopped long enough to do so. I'm going to go back and update. So here we go, in an effort to slow down a bit- I am going to start documenting our lives. Again.
